A.C.K Guest House Mombasa is located on the south coast of Kenya 400 metres from Likoni ferry along Shelly beach road. It is well situated with cool breeze from the Indian Ocean and in a quiet Christian aromatic atmosphere.
The idea to acquire a guest house in Mombasa was mooted by Mr. Jimmy Richardson who was the Chairman of CPK Guest House Nairobi in 1970's.
The Guest House was to be used as a holiday place for church missionaries from all over the world. When the New Breeze Hotel came up for sale in 1976, he seized the opportunity and shared his sentiments with the then Archbishop of Kenya The Most Rev. Festo Olang'.
The Archbishop agreed to present the matter to the church for consideration. The purchase of the New Breeze Hotel was approved by the SYNOD in 1976 and bought early in 1977.
The name was changed to C.P.K. Guest House and it became operational in July, 1977.
In 1998 February, after a vote by the Provincial SYNOD, the Church took the name Anglican Church of Kenya.
